OUR STORY
SHARRA PAGANO: OVER FIFTY YEARS OF PRECIOUS STORIES
Sharra Pagano was born in 1969 from a name that had never existed before—a mysterious sound, genderless and intentionally suspended in meaning.
Lino Raggio chose it to evoke the spirit of 1970s Milan, a desire for change, and a new way of interpreting beauty.
“My costume jewelry is not an imitation of fine jewelry, but imagination applied to the most diverse materials.”
In the historic boutique on Via della Spiga, together with architect Gianfranco Signori, Sharra Pagano began envisioning jewelry projected toward the future.
The brand became instantly recognizable through its use of natural brass, silver, copper, colored resins, and semi-precious stones.
Sharra Pagano bijoux have graced international runways and have been chosen by leading figures in fashion, entertainment, and culture.
The maison played a pioneering role in the emergence of “fantasy jewelry”, redefining the bijoux as an artistic and personal expression—one that seamlessly combines artisanal precision with a distinctive stylistic vision.
THE ARCHIVE
The brand’s archive—one of the most extensive in the industry—preserves more than fifty years of fashion jewelry, encompassing over 50,000 unique pieces.
Alongside the creations developed for Giorgio Armani and Moschino, with whom Sharra Pagano enjoyed long-standing collaborations, the archive also includes designs made for Walter Albini, Enrico Coveri, and many others.
Beginning in the 1980s, the leading names of Italian prêt-à-porter recognized Sharra Pagano as a natural creative partner, capable of transforming every detail into a statement of style.
This legacy is reflected in the countless Sharra Pagano bijoux featured in prominent national and international fashion magazines.
These collections, featured in several exhibitions dedicated to the history of fashion and jewelry, have been admired by Italian and international stars alike.
But their story goes beyond the world of celebrity: Lino Raggio created spectacular statement pieces for legendary voices such as Maria Callas and Renata Tebaldi, who wore Sharra Pagano designs in theaters, on red carpets, and in their everyday lives.
